Bright Academy started the year with onboarding the European International School Manila, also known as Eurocampus. Eurocampus, which is a home to both Deusche Europäische Schule Manila (the German School) and Lycée Français de Manille (the French school), takes pride in housing over 50 different nationalities.
Eurocampus has a 32-week program called the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) Program which offers after-school activities in sports, performing, and creative arts for the students. The program aims to help their young students develop skills and build character in their early years in life. Coach Patrick of Bright Academy will be in charge of Eurocampus' U14 - U17 football sessions and have met with the football players for the first time on January 6, 2020.

With the assistance of Coach Ephraim, Coach Patrick started his football sessions by setting out drills to gauge the players' knowledge of the sport and skills levels and to be able to identify areas of focus. Bright Academy follows a reliable style of coaching FUNiño for its programs and our coaches bring this to Eurocampus. FUNiño is the introductory module of Futbol a la medida del nino, the world-famous “Youth Football Development Model” by Horst Wein and represents a significant breakthrough in youth football coaching. It introduces young players to game intelligence while establishing their technique, in a player-centered and game-oriented program.

Coach Patrick conducted an orientation to the players of what FUNiño is all about as the players weren't aware of it at first. With Bright Academy's programs, the players are exposed to situations that require constant creativity and problem-solving while actively playing on the field - some of the many aspects that FUNiño focuses on.
Based on the collective feedback the past week, the players say they appreciate this new approach of football coaching and also like that their coaches communicate in French, the first language of many of the Lycée Français de Manille's students.

The European International School Manila's football teams participate and attend international tournaments every year. Coach Patrick is confident that with FUNiño, Bright Academy's coaching programs can create a positive impact to the teams' performance and can help them become more globally competitive in football.
